Clinic Pet:

Angel was born in 2004 and has lived most of her life with Dr. Buckingham. In 2015 she suffered a spinal injury and lost the use of her back legs, much like a paraplegic person. We tried to get her in a kitty wheelchair, but in true cat fashion, she was not willing to use it. Even without her wheelchair she scoots around the clinic well, and is often found sleeping in the doctor’s office or under the front desk on her bed. She loves getting attention from our staff and children that stop by for a visit. Even though she won’t ever walk normally she is a happy and spoiled girl.

Rupert is a Red-Footed Tortoise; a species that is native to South America. They are omnivores and eat a mixture of plants, fruits, flowers and insects. Rupert is particularly fond of cat kibble as an occasional treat and will steal from Angel’s bowl when he can. He started life with Dr. Buckingham as a hatchling in 2011 and started residing at our clinic in 2015. He spends most of his time in his warm aquarium with his UV lamp, but many afternoons he can be found wandering free around the clinic for some exercise.
